Spotlight Interviews

Jordayne Frizzell

WRITTEN BY:

August’s spotlight interview is with our fab Account Manager, Jordayne Frizzell.

How long have you been at Mando-Connect and what’s your favourite part about working here?

14 months I’ve been at Mando-Connect. The time has gone really quickly! My favourite part about being at Mando-Connect is definitely the new Business side of things. I love having new Partnership conversations and talking to new and emerging brands.

What’s your highest achievement outside of work?

That’s a tough one!! I’d say either completing the London Marathon or graduating and getting a Degree at University.

Do you have a favourite partnership that you’ve worked on?

My former client Prsnt and the partnership between them and O2 Priority, promoting a free pack of Percy Pigs. It was great encouraging members to download the Prsnt App and in exchange gifting their friends some free bags of Percy Pigs.

So, the reason it was my favourite partnership, was just because it was the first time, I actually led a whole partnership from start to finish. So, it was really exciting and an opportunity for me to develop in my role, getting stuck in and enjoying the end-to-end process.

What’s your favourite meal to eat out?

Oh, that’s hard… Italian food for sure, pleases every single time. I’m a sucker for ravioli, and I do love truffle pizza.

Out of all your travels. Which place would you visit again and why?

Sydney in Australia, it’s my home away from home. It offers everything I love, in one place, beach life, great brunch scene and the city is gorgeous. I’m obsessed with Sydney Harbour Bridge too, I have it tattooed on my foot!

What advice you give to your younger self?

Trust in the process and have faith in yourself. I’m a big believer in, that typically anything you want to achieve it is within your capability. It might take five months, five years but I do believe if you put your mind to it, anything is possible. So, I’d tell younger Jordayne that, believe in herself more!

What’s been your favourite interview since starting Partner Connects? And who would you like to interview next?

Tribe has been one of my favourites. I respect that 1p from every Tribe bar sale goes towards ending modern slavery. That was quite an inspiring and powerful interview.

I mean, if I could interview anyone, I’d love to interview Maya Jama. I just think we would have jokes together. She’s been on Love Island; Vogue Magazine and I think she’d just be a vibe. We would have a lot of fun. I just want the gossip. Just want to know all relationship details then ask what’s their secret to living life?

If you won £1 million tomorrow, what would you do first?

Pay off my mum and dad’s mortgage off first. Then, I would book a holiday and probably go somewhere beautiful like Madagascar or the Maldives. Bougie, fancy, just paradise vibes! Also, I would genuinely buy a hostel. I know that’s random, but you’d always get travellers in and its secure income in the long term.

Tell us something surprising about yourself?

This is really cringe. I couldn’t remember my age, but my mums always backed me when it comes to doing whatever I wanted to do…but I wish she didn’t sometimes, as I did submit an audition tape for The X Factor back in the day. I sung Complicated by Avril Lavigne. (Rest assured, I didn’t make it past the first audition).

What’s a brand you’d love to work with and why?

I would love to work with Nike. They’re just cool and innovative and have been around for so long, they just keep going and going. They’re pathing the way, in regard to diversity and representation, which is great! Also, they’ve worked with some amazing icons too! I love their sportswear, it’s comfortable and great for running in!
