This Spotlight is with the fab Anya Freckleton-Hull!
How did your career start in Partnerships?
My career in partnerships started in the employee benefits industry. I used to work in client services, setting up employee benefit initiatives for different businesses and HR teams. A part of the role was working with partners for things like Cycle to Work, employee assistance programs, car schemes and then I transitioned from client services into working fully with the partners.
What is your dream brand to work with?
My dream brand to work with is probably Red Bull Racing. I think it’s really cool. Either Red Bull Racing or a sports brand, like England rugby. I’m just really into sport. I love watching it. I love going to live sporting events. My dream brand would be anything like that.
What is a fact that most people would find surprising?
I did dance for about 12 years of my life. When I was younger, I would go to dance training like three to four times a week. We competed in the UK, I’ve competed internationally, we’d go to like competitions in Germany and Vegas. So that was my whole personality from like the age of three up until 16.
What’s a goal you’re working towards right now?
I’m currently working my way up to be able to do 100kg squat. That is still a goal. I’m at 80 right now. It’s something that keeps me motivated. It keeps me going to the gym. It’s like a nice little outside of work goal to have. So hopefully, I’d say by the end of the year, I should be able to squat 100 kilograms.

Could you tell us about a loyalty scheme or brand partnership that you find impressive?
One that I always find really fun is Crocs, I just find it so fascinating. They’ve got Crocs x the Cars films, they’ve got Crocs x Star Wars, Crocs x Bratz. I just find it really interesting how they constantly reinvent their staple shoe and then collaborate with tons of different brands to make it their own.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Either Thailand or Sri Lanka. I haven’t been to Sri Lanka yet – I plan to go in 2028, but from what I’ve seen, it looks beautiful. One of those two places.

What’s your favourite destination you’ve been to?
It’s really hard to pick! Jamaica is a beautiful country, and I’ve got family out there, but a very close second would be The Gambia, because it was such a different holiday. I’d never been to Africa before, but it was a beautiful country, stunning food, and probably the nicest people you’ll ever meet in your life. It was such a good experience when I went there.
What is your favourite hobby/ thing to do outside of work?
I attend a lot of music festivals, that’s something that I really enjoy. Second to that is going to the cinema. I love watching all different types of films, all different types of genres. I’ve got an unlimited card, so I tend to see between two and five films a month.

What did you want to be when you were younger?
A physiotherapist. I liked sport when I was in school and I always envisioned myself being a physiotherapist. My auntie was also a physiotherapist, so I think that helped as well.
What has been your biggest achievement/ most proud of inside or outside of work?
One of my biggest achievements is buying my first home. I’m a homeowner! I have a mortgage – sometimes I hate it but that was a really big achievement. Being able to save the money and make my first like big girl purchase. I just feel grateful that I was in the position to be able to do that.
