How did your career start in Partnerships & Marketing?

I worked in a loyalty tech company for 9 years and after having both of my sons, I decided I wanted a change. I’d been following the Mando-Connect journey since it launched 6 years ago and I was really keen to see how my skills would translate into the other side of loyalty, and here I am!

Who would be your dream brand to work with?

Rapanui – they’re a small brand based in the Isle of Wight who are doing some amazing things to reduce clothing waste! All their clothing has a label which contains a QR code – when you’ve worn the item out, they send you a bag to post it back for free, and then send you a money off voucher for your next purchase. They take the clothes and Remill them and make them into new products – and they’re now able to receive products from other brands as long as they are 100% cotton!

What has been your biggest achievement/ most proud of outside of work?

I’m torn between two – my first would be going on a ski season for 5 months when I was 18 having never been away from home! The second one was more recent, a year after having my first son, I competed in a race called The Whole Hog which is 5km of muddy obstacles. It was a freezing day so I was absolutely dreading it, but I was determined to run a good time – I ended up being the fastest female on the day! (I can’t remember my time though!)

What has been your favourite Partnership you have worked on whilst at Mando-Connect?

Within a few months of joining, I had my heart set on a partnership with The Body Coach app and I managed to secure it for one of our brands. I’m really passionate about fitness and Joe Wicks is an icon. I’ve been using the app for 2 and a half years and although it’s super cliché, it really has changed my life especially when I’m juggling an active lifestyle with being a working parent.

Could you tell us about a Loyalty Scheme/ Brand Partnership that you think is really impressive?

I have to say Rapanui again because they are so true to their brand with all their partnerships but in particular, I love their Women’s Clean Seas Collection in collaboration with the Marine Conservation Society.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

I’ve always been quite a resilient and driven person which probably came from my parents – always encouraging me to have a go, and if I got things wrong to get up and try again. Then in later years, it was a colleague in my previous company who was so detail-oriented, hyper-focused, and organised which made me reflect on my approach and make some changes.

If you could do any job for just one day, what would it be?

I’d love to be a skiing instructor in Canada, but I wouldn’t come back after a day!

What is your most used app?

Shameful… Instagram – I am awful when it comes to scrolling through Reels and saving countless recipes that I never end up trying.

What is the last box series you watched?

I’m still working through The Morning Show on Apple TV with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston – I’m hooked!

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I knew I definitely didn’t want to follow my mum’s footsteps and be a nurse (the hospital smell – IYKYK) but at one point I remember wanting to join the army in some capacity to be like my dad and brother. Then I realised I hate getting up early, being cold, doing pull ups and being told what to do… the list goes on!
