How did your career in promotions start?

I was a temporary employee working during education holidays packaging up the prizes for promotions.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

I like the forecasting of promotional redemptions, it gives me joy to see how accurate we can be.

What’s a fact about yourself that surprises people?

My family is from an ethnic background but you wouldn’t know to look at me.

Do you have a favourite client you’d like to shout out as being great to work with?

Not really a client but a fellow pair of analysts – really enjoy working with Donald Miller and Josh Hallam at YouGov.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I wanted to be a pilot and that dream was dashed at almost 6 years old when I was given glasses, back then you weren’t even allowed to train without 20/20 vision. I have however had a private licence lesson which is loads of fun.

If you could manifest your future, where would you be in 20 years?

Retired lol.

Where’s your favourite place that you’ve travelled?

I love Florida, you are taken to different worlds all in one place and can just forget reality the entire time you are there.

What is your favourite ever promotion?

A promotion once ran in Germany where bottles of Fizzy Orange were rigged with tiny pieces of electrical gadgets so that when you opened the bottle the whole thing would light up like the Sun, which then meant you had won a prize, a simply amazing promotion with an interesting redemption rate.

What have you recently learnt?

You can’t force your golf handicap down.

What do you think sets Mando apart?

We once released a company mantra that read “reassuringly expensive” which resonates so much with the market we work in, I’m proud to be a part of the only company in the risk market that guarantees to pay out if a risk does go wrong, I don’t believe many other companies in our space can say that.

What’s your favourite life hack?

My Grandad always told me to never buy cheap shoes or a cheap mattress because you are always in one or the other.

What is your biggest work achievement?

Ask me again next year when I reach 20 years as a permanent member of the business.
