This month’s Spotlight Interview is with our fab Finance Manager – Nicky Smith
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I wanted to be a nurse, but somehow ended up in admin then finance.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
The people I work with. I have seen many changes over the years and have worked and continue to work with some fab people.
If you could manifest your future, where would you be in 20 years?
Retired!
Where’s your favourite place that you’ve travelled?
Canada – but I am homebody and love visiting all different parts of the UK.
What is your food heaven and food hell?
Food heaven – Bacon Roll on white crusty bread with Marmite.
Food hell – Brussel sprouts.
What have you recently learnt?
That I actually can enjoy cleaning…
What song do you know all the words to?
Everything Louder than Everything Else – Meatloaf, it is my drunken singing song.
If you could master a new skill what would it be?
I would love to be able to draw.
What do you think sets Mando apart?
The people – from the top down we always go the extra mile no matter what.
What has been your biggest achievement/proud of outside of work?
Being a Guider (Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers) for the last 30 years. My sister and daughter are involved too.
